CONCERN: Eunice Milne's daughter-in-law, Julie Longridge, left, and daughter Cynthia Merry with a photo of Mrs Milne, 94, with severe bruising to the face after a fall at Kirralee.

Wendouree's Cynthia Merry said her mother Eunice Milne lived at the facility from 2003 to November last year when she was moved to an aged care facility in Echuca.

"We moved her because she would have died. I believe we kept her alive with Ensure Plus (food supplement) which we fed her because the meals were disgusting," Mrs Merry said.

She also alleged her mother had no water, tissues, toilet paper or hand towels and drinks were banned after 5pm.

Mrs Merry said in one incident, a man visiting his wife allegedly found Mrs Milne lying on the floor unconscious with bruising to her head.

She also alleged her mother lost weight during her time at Kirralee.

"What we discovered was they never cared," Mrs Merry said.

"There were some caring staff and uncaring staff who had no respect for age, given my mother would not be able to tell me because of her memory span. You knew when she was very upset."

Mrs Merry said she and her younger sister complained about their mother's treatment to management on several occasions.

"Mum is happy now and is her old self. It makes you annoyed to see your mother of 12 children and grandma who had such a happy life mistreated."

Another woman, Keryn Featherstone ,also removed her 80-year-old mother from Kirralee several months ago because of an alleged lack of care.

She said her mother, Phyllis, stayed at the facility for 30 days while she was on respite.

Ms Featherstone said she had to face a VCAT application before she was allowed to remove her mother.

Kirralee declined to comment last night.
