Based on feedback and information sent to Aged Care Crisis, we would encourage family members and aged care employers to conduct their own checks of registered medical and nursing staff working in aged care homes. Many correspondents who contact Aged Care Crisis are shocked to learn that it may still be possible for a nurse to be suspended by their nursing/registration board (in their country of origin), for example, and yet, still be granted a practitioners license to operate here in Australia.
